PTFE (Polytetraflouroethylene) tape is a non-adhesive tape for use with threaded fittings on all types of pipes, including gas and liquid carrying pipework, including potable water.
PTFE tape can be used on pipe made from galvanised steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminium, stainless steel, polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC, CPVC, ABS or fibreglass. It can also be used on pipes carrying the following materials: Diesel fuel oil, gasoline, alcohols, heating oils, hydraulic fluids, steam, water etc. Store in a cool, dry conditions between 5°C and 25°C. Do not use on pipes, which contain liquid oxygen or flourine.
