A drain cock is a tap or valve used to regulate or draw off water from the lowest part or a tank, boiler etc.
They are commonly found inside homes under kitchen sinks.
It is very important to know where it is in case of flooding.
Drain cocks are often made of brass, sometimes with rubber seals.
