The Anka plastic check valves minimise the development of reverse flow that may damage pumps.
It restricts flow to only one direction (spring return to close).
It has a compact and robust plastic design and is useful where a height differential exists between the pump and the water source.
It is an inexpensive way to make sure that a single centrifugal pump is primed every time it cycles and can be installed in any orientation, but direction of flow is specific.
If it is installed with a filter screen it can be used as a foot valve.
